My focus

I co-originated the idea for the rewrite and have been one of its key architects since the first commit, focused on the core of the platform.

Customer Information System
Authoritative source for residents, properties, units and meters. Wrote the founding architecture and schema; lead contributor.
Admin dashboard
The Next.js app client organizations use to manage billing. Started the project; lead contributor.
Payments
ACH (NACHA) and card processing service. Started the project and wrote its architecture.
Billing engine
Core contributor to the rating, tiering, proration and posting engine.
Shared database standards
Contributor to the design conventions every service's schema follows.
Notifications
Started the multi-channel email, SMS, push and in-app notification service.

Architecture highlights

Service-oriented, event-driven
Domain services in .NET and Go publish and consume events over Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
High-throughput billing
Staged load, calculate, write and finalize pipeline with bulk writes for high-volume runs.
Legacy parity verification
The new engine is validated bill-for-bill against the legacy system.
Single sign-on
Dedicated identity service with role-based access control.
GitOps delivery
Infrastructure as code and GitOps deploys to Kubernetes on Google Cloud, with staged promotion.
